I use Calendula petals from our garden, infuse them with 100% Pure Olive Oil in the sun for several weeks, then strain the oil into 4 oz. fine mist spray bottles.
My favorite use, so far is for mosquito bites, sunburn, dry elbows, knees, and feet. A few nights ago, I accidently spilled half of a jar down my leg, and instead of wasting it, I rubbed it on my arms, legs, and feet. I had a few mosquito bites and sunburn on my arms. It worked better than any lotion I have used. However, you don't need to use that much! A little goes a long way.
The wood floor looked great, too!
I recently found a few more uses; pour a capful into an old dish pan and add warm water for a softening foot soak. Pat dry. Massage a small amount on your face after washing it in the morning and before bed. I am noticing a difference in a few wrinkles on the side of my face and a frown line that I have had for a while, is hardly noticible now.
Our Calendula is chemical free, we never use chemicals in our gardens. Even though it is completely pure, it is for external use only. Store in a cool dark place, such as a cabinet.
Quantities are limited. I am selling them on www.nebraskafood.org, also.
The new fine mist spray bottles are clear plastic.
Store in a cool dark place, such as a drawer.
